Choosing the right BORTECH portable auto bore welder for your specific needs can be challenging. To help you make an informed decision, here’s a guide outlining the key factors to consider:

1. Identify the Diameter Range and Surfaces Needing Repair:

  • For a diameter range of 0.88 -24 inches (22.4 – 609.6 mm), consider the BW1000 and BW3000 auto bore welder.
  • For diameters above 24 inches (609.6 mm), the BW3000 (up to 54 in. / 1371.6 mm) and BW5000 (up to 144 in. / 3657 mm) models are suitable options.
  • If surface faces also require repair, the BW2600 or BW3000 models are ideal.

2. Welding Orientation:

  • For vertical welding position, the BW5000 auto bore welder is ideal due to its higher deposition rates (these advantages are realized only in the vertical position).
