The BORTECH automated welding systems are portable and can be used in both field and shop repairs. These automated welding systems are designed to attach directly to several CLIMAX boring machine mounting fixtures, allowing a single setup for both welding and machining operations, giving the operator the ability to weld one bore while machining another! These automated welders offer high-quality, affordable welding performance for bore, flange and valve repair, and are offered with a wide variety of accessories.
Some accessories include:
- Torch Extension Support kit allows for extended axial reach when bores are aligned in the horizontal position. With multiple kits, reach can be up to 8 ft (2.43 M) in length.
- Torch Counter Balance kit eliminates rotation backlash when using specialty torches as well as bores over 13 inches (330.2 mm) in diameter.
- Remote Pendant kit allows for the control of certain welder functions when welding is not near the operator.
