La soldadora de orificios automática Bortech se creó en 1982, después de 600 horas de desarrollo y pruebas por parte de un operador de un taller de máquinas que ofrecía reparar los equipos pesados de contratistas de las construcciones locales. La soldadora de orificios fue la respuesta a la obvia necesidad que había de reconstruir los agujeros desgastados de las piezas grandes. Las soldadoras de orificios producen una capa de soldadura en la sección desgastada de la pieza de trabajo. La pieza de trabajo puede volver a mecanizarse a su tamaño original. Las soldadoras de orificios automáticas son superiores a las soldadoras manuales. La Bortech BW3000 alardea del mayor control sobre los parámetros de soldadura en la industria. Utilizando el proceso patentado «paso», la BW3000 puede soldar 360° en un solo paso, antes se hacía «de a poco» hasta el siguiente plano.
