Congratulations to Rick Jones and Destec Engineering Ltd. from Lincoln, United Kingdom, for using a CLIMAX FF5300 Flange Facer and H&S TOOL AFC CLAMSHELL machine for onsite machining work on this pressure vessel located in a European chemical plant. The work involved roughing out a 200mm long reducing angle using a clamshell pipe cutter (before grinding finish), Turning the outside diameter 100mm long to match the new pipework diameter, and forming a weld prep on the end of the spigot using a bore mounted flange facing machine. Both machines were used simultaneously to reduce the time to complete the work.
