2020 Picture of the Year Finalist – 14

Our fourteenth finalist is thanks to TOMCO Group of Companies, based in Edmonton, Alberta, for showcasing how they refurbished a CAT 7495 HF electric rope shovel with a CLIMAX LM6200 Gantry Mill. TOMCO is shown here milling the side frame mounting pads and shear ledge back into spec after wear in the oilsands mine in northern Alberta. The CLIMAX LM6200 is 192” long and was able to machine the pads back into spec within 0.005” pad to pad in one setup.
